Police say teen injured during home invasion

The Marion Police Department said that a teen was injured on Tuesday afternoon when two suspects forced their way into his home on Swiss Drive.

On 4-28-15 at about 12:30am, officers responded to that home in the 500 block of Swiss Drive for a reported home invasion. Officers said they found the 16-year-old resident and caller in the home with a minor injury to his forehead.

The juvenile told officers that he had been assaulted when he answered the door and the suspects initially came into the house. The juvenile said he locked himself in a bedroom and heard what he thought was a firecracker going off. He told the suspects he was calling the police and they left shortly after.

Investigators said a bullet casing was found in the house and it is believed that one shot was fired.

The victim was not transported from the scene, but police said he later went to the hospital for minor injury not related to the shot that was fired.

The suspects were both dressed in dark clothing. One was around 6 feet 2 inches tall and thin. The victim was not able to give any further description of either suspect.
