Marion Elections Board participating in change of address effort

The Marion County Board of Elections is announcing the start of our annual National Change of Address effort. The Board Office has mailed “Voter Registration Confirmation Notices” to 9,013 Marion County residents. These notices are being sent as a requirement of the 1993 National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993 (commonly referred to as the “motor voter law”).

Area residents should receive one of these notices if they have filed a new address with the United States Postal Service or have not been an active voter in the last two years (have not voted in an election, signed a petition, or filed a voter registration change).

The notices contain a prepaid return envelope and a form. You must fill out and send back the form in the included prepaid, pre-addressed envelope to the Board of Elections in order to keep your voter registration record active. The form can be recognized by the form number “Form 10-S” (printed at the top left corner of the letter in small print) and a Date Issued printed in the top right corner of 6/22/2015.

For questions or more information, contact the Board Office at 740-223-4090.
