Two new members have been welcomed to the Marion Community Foundation Board of Directors, announced president and CEO Dean L. Jacob. The new board members include Jeremy Dunn and Fran Voll. These new members bring the board to its full complement of 15 members.
Jeremy Dunn, a Marion native, graduated from Pleasant High School in 2001 and spent the next seven years completing studies at Southeastern University and starting his professional career with JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Lakeland, Florida. Moving back to Marion in 2008, Dunn continued his career with JPMorgan, overseeing a $6 billion portfolio of assets in the Treasury Services and Securities business line until 2010.
Dunn is a founding board member with Marion Direct, a local non-profit organization serving individuals with secure, sober living environments. He also established Life.Money, a financial literacy provider for young adults and secondary school students. He is currently launching a financial literacy effort in Zambia, Africa, in partnership with YMCA Zambia, Peace Corps Zambia and the Zambia Ministry of Education.
Also working at McDaniel Automotive as the Business Development Manager since February 2014, Dunn helps define business strategies involving multiple aspects of the business.
He holds two bachelor’s degrees — in finance and management — and a Master’s Degree in Accounting.
Dunn’s community involvements include supporting Rushmore Academy, North Central Ohio Rehabilitation Center, Juvenile Detention Center, Marion Matters and Boys & Girls Club.
Voll previously served on Marion Community Foundation’s Board in 2006-08 and rejoins the Board of Directors as the retired principal of Marion Catholic High School (2011) and Chair of the Bowling Green State University Board of Trustees. He has served as a Trustee at BSGU since 2007.
Voll served as the head women’s basketball coach at Bowling Green, 1984-1991, Associate Director of Athletics, 1991-1996, and head of the Falcon Club. During his coaching tenure at BGSU, he lead the Falcons in two undefeated Mid-American Conference seasons, three regular season MAC Championships, four MAC Tournament titles and four trips to the NCAA Tournaments. Voll was named one of BGSU’s 100 Most Prominent Alumni and is a member of the University’s Athletic Hall of Fame, the Ohio High School Coaches Hall of Fame, the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame, and the Delphos St. John’s Hall of Fame. He was also the head women’s basketball coach at Central Michigan University, 1996-2000.
Voll holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green and a master’s of education from St. Francis College of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has done additional graduate work at the University of Dayton and Central Michigan University.
Voll and his wife have lived in Marion for 15 years and his community involvements include service to the Marion Family YMCA, the former Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Marion, and the Marion Rotary Club, of which he is a past president.
