The City of Marion has announced that the Lincoln Park Aquatic Center is now officially closed for the season. The early closure was due in part to difficulty in staffing the center as many lifeguards have returned to school.
“While we had originally hoped to be open one more weekend, due to a combination of lack of swimmers, school obligations, and other unforeseen circumstances, this is no longer is going to be possible” explained Tony Hartman, Operations Director for the Marion City Parks Department.
“We hope you enjoyed your summer at the pool as much as we did and look forward to seeing you again next summer,” said Hartman.
