Law Enforcement Appreciation Day planned for Saturday

Organized by wives of officers from the Marion Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and Ohio State Highway Patrol, Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is set for Saturday, September 19, 2015.

There will be a community cookout at Pure Function CrossFit, 202 South Main Street, at 1:00 with a craft show in the rear lot, and police vehicles, officers and K-9 units. Hotdogs, chips and a drink will be available for a small donation.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary to be used in the community as needs arise.
