Each year, thousands of Ohioans play an important role in our democracy by helping to operate polling places. Ohio’s Precinct Election Officials (PEOs) work to facilitate the voting process.
The Marion County Board of Elections is seeking interested citizens to work the polls in the next 18 months.
Local residents who meet the qualifications are encouraged to participate. They must be United States citizens who are qualified electors in the county in which they plan to work as a PEO, must have no felony convictions, and may not be running as a candidate for the election in which they are working.
Poll workers receive a stipend for attending training ($10) and working the polls ($101.50).
You may email the Board Office or refer to our website for additional detail at this address www.marionelections.com/poll-workers. You may also direct interested parties to the Ohio Secretary of State’s website www.PEOinOHIO.com.
