With all precincts counted, the unofficial results of the 2015 General Election show positive results for levy renewals, but continued defeats for requests for new money. City of Marion voters also re-elected many of the incumbents.
Those city residents said yes to another term for Scott Schertzer as mayor along with the incumbent auditor and law director. They did vote in a new City Council President in Scot Gray. And the race for the Third Ward City Council seat is very close, with incumbent Mike Thomas edging Tanner Hall by just four votes.
For the four county-wide tax issues, the renewals for ADAMH, MARCA and Marion County Council on Aging have all passed, while MARCA’s request for additional funding was voted down overwhelmingly.
The levy for Ridgedale schools was also defeated by over 140 votes.
On the statewide issues, Marion County voters approved Issue 1, but said no to Issues 2 and 3.
