Marion Board of Elections looking for poll workers

The Marion County Board of Elections is looking for dedicated residents to serve as poll workers in the upcoming March 2016 Primary Election. The board will hold Poll Worker (Precinct Election Official – PEO) training classes starting on February 4th and running through February 22nd. Classes are two hours in length and are scheduled for morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. The PEO classes are taught in the Marion County Building – Prospect Room (on the lower level).

If you are interested in becoming a Poll Worker (or would just like to see what the job entails) – you are urged to contact the Board Office and let them know what class you would like to attend. Marion County will be using electronic pollbooks for the first time in the March 2016 Primary Election. Officials said that use of the KNOWiNK Poll Pad is an important part of their all new training class content.
