The Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission, in partnership with the WODA Group, Inc., will be submitting a low-income housing tax credit application to the Ohio Housing Finance Agency that, if successful, will provide funding to renovate the Marion Catholic High School site and convert it to 45 units of energy-efficient apartment homes for seniors.
The plans call for 11 two-bedroom apartments and 34 one-bedroom apartments. The development will feature a community room along with a space dedicated to supportive services. The development will also include the construction of an additional building attached to the rear of the existing facility that will house the 11 two-bedroom units.
The proposed area of development will not include the Boler Center or the athletic field.
A community meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at 6:00 pm in the Prospect Room of the Marion County Building, 222 West Center Street, Marion, Ohio. All those interested are encouraged to attend.
