Chris Myers, RN, nurse manager 2 South inpatient unit at OhioHealth Marion General Hospital, was recently recognized as the OhioHealth Marion 2015 Manager of the Year. The OhioHealth Marion Manager of the Year is a recognition of overall excellence in management and leadership.
Nearly 100 managers and directors from OhioHealth Marion are eligible for this award. Nominations can come from any OhioHealth associate or physician. This award is intended to recognize leaders who:
- Role model OhioHealth’s Cardinal Value, “to honor the dignity and worth of each person”
- Consistently exhibit the OhioHealth culture values of Integrity, Compassion, Excellence and Stewardship
- Demonstrate commitment to the patient experience and continuous quality improvement
- Have excellent rapport with staff, patients, visitors, and peers
- And demonstrate leadership in facilitating change
Chris Myers has been the nurse manager on 2 South for just over a year and received more than 25 of the nearly 35 Manager of the Year nominations.

Chris Myers has been an associate at Marion General Hospital for more than 20 years, starting out as a patient support assistant (PSA) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She then earned her degree from Marion Technical College and worked in the inpatient unit and the Emergency Department before she became a nursing supervisor. She was in this position for the past nine years and was recently promoted to manager of the 2 South inpatient unit.
Chris is a Bucyrus native who attended Wynford Local Schools. She resides on the county line between Bucyrus and Upper Sandusky.
