Marion Public Library announces September 2016 activities

The Marion Public Library has announced the following events will take place in September 2016.

Thursday, September 1st, 6:30 pm
Family Fun Night
Families with young children are invited to an evening of stories, crafts, and fun that will celebrate the upcoming Marion Popcorn Festival.

Monday, September 12th, 6:30 pm
Family Fun Night
Families with young children are invited to an evening of stories, crafts, and fun that will be all about BUBBLES.

Wednesday, September 14th, 7:00 pm
Hands-On Herb Program
You may have noticed the BookWorms’ Herb Garden at MPL growing quite well. Master Gardener Carol Kelly let us know about some of the uses of herbs from the garden in her August 24th program; now she will offer an opportunity for hands-on learning with herbs.

Tuesday, September 27th, 7:00 pm
Author Visit
Joel Miyasake, author, will join us to discuss his new book, A Conspicuous Life: George B. Christian Sr. and the Rise of Industrial Marion. We will take a look at the history of Marion through the life of George Christian Sr., a prominent Marionite and friend of Warren G. Harding.
