The Palace Cultural Arts Association is set to present UPSIDEDOWN BROADWAY – A Musical Revue for three performances in the Palace Theatre May Pavilion. Show dates are scheduled for Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 28 at 2:00 p.m.
Featuring local musicians and vocalists, UPSIDEDOWN BROADWAY is packed with music from popular Broadway musicals. Adding a twist, the men will perform songs made famous by women such as “Out Tonight” from RENT, “I Want to Be a Rockette” from KICKS: THE SHOWGIRL MUSICAL and “Popular” from WICKED among others. The ladies will take on “Wait For It” from HAMILTON, “Corner of the Sky” from PIPPIN and “Seize the Day” from the musical NEWSIES.
UPSIDEDOWN BROADWAY features the talent of Dustin Rawlins and Matt Meade. Guest vocalists include Margie Bowman, Kim Bradshaw, Olivia Brazell, Emily Christman, Mike Cochran, Hannah Fuller, Shannon Lyle, Sydney Randall, Carter Rawlins, Jami Rawlins, Jay Reid, Ann Schertzer, Morgan Schwartz, Brady Wink, Sadie Wink and Tanner Wink. Instrumentalists involved in the show will be Zach Cochran, Dee Ehrman, Matt Kelly and John Mullins.
Tickets are $16 and may be purchased in advance at the Palace box office, 276 W. Center St. in downtown Marion or by phone at 740/383-2101. Box office hours are 9:00am-5:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets may also be purchased at the door one hour before the show.
