On Friday, September 9th, 2016, following a dozen years of service, Glenn Coble retired as Director of Marketing/Business Development at Marion Community Credit Union. Since joining MCCU’s staff in 2004, Coble became a fixture in the Marion community and helped the credit union achieve significant growth in both membership and assets.
He’s been involved with the planning of (and regularly participated in) events throughout the area including the Marion Popcorn Festival, Peanut Push, Saturday in the Park, and many others. Listeners of WMRN-AM have enjoyed his Monday morning conversations with Jeff Ruth. Coble says bringing the U.S. Army Field Band to Marion is one of the accomplishments of which he’s most proud during his tenure at MCCU. Hundreds of area residents filled the Marion Palace Theatre for free performances by both the Field Band and The U.S. Navy Sea Chanters over the past few years.
Taking over as Business Development Officer at MCCU is Daniel Bradshaw. With previous stints as Marketing Director for Farmers Citizens Bank and CES Credit Union, Bradshaw is happy to be back in Marion.
“I’ve lived in Marion County my entire life,” he explains, “and it’s great to be in a position where I can help create a positive impact on the Marion community.”
Bradshaw hit the ground running when he started in July and is in the midst of some major projects including improvements to the MCCU website (marioncu.com) and blog (where he posts about topics such as saving money on college textbooks, buying a used car, and identity theft). He’s also jumped right into community activities such as Saturday in the Park and the Popcorn Festival.
“Two of the guiding principles for credit unions are education and concern for community,” he says. “That’s where a lot of my energy is being directed in this position.”
Already an active member of the Marion community, Bradshaw is a charter member of The Ohio State Marion Alumni Engagement Council and is also involved in productions at the Marion Palace Theatre.
