The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that occurred in the 9000 block of Harding Highway West early Thursday morning.
The Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of both Hardin and Wyandot County Sheriff’s Offices, said they located the suspects just north of Marion County inside Wyandot County. When they stopped the suspects’ vehicle, deputies said they were able to take one man into custody while the other fled into a nearby cornfield and wooded area.
The area was checked by plane, deputies, and a K9, however, the second suspect was not located. Identified as 53 year old Melvin Reinbolt, he was still at large as of the time of this posting.
Arrested was 21 year old Briden Carroll, 6605 Marion Agosta Road, Lot 25, New Bloomington, on charges of burglary.
Reinbolt, who resides with Carroll, is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, blue eyes, brown hair, last seen wearing a blue striped shirt and jeans.
“If anyone has any information or sees Reinbolt in the area they are asked to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 740-382-8244 ext. 2 or 0,” stated Sheriff Tim Bailey. The public is urged to not approach Reinbolt as he could be armed and dangerous.
Sheriff Bailey thanked the agencies and witnesses who have assisted with this investigation to help identify these individuals. The investigation is ongoing and there is no other information for release at this time.
