Election Results: Voters approve most levies, elect new Commissioner, keep Sheriff and others

Marion County voters approved every tax levy on the ballot with the exception of two additional taxes for Tri-Rivers Career Center and MARCA. They did approve a renewal levy for MARCA and a levy for the Village of Green Camp passed by just two votes.

Andy Appelfeller, Tim Bailey, Brent Yager, and Julie Kagel all held on to their positions as County Commissioner, Sheriff, Prosecutor, and Clerk of Courts, respectively. Kerr Murray defeated incumbent Dan Russell in the other Commissioner’s race.

You can find the complete, unofficial results by clicking here. There are still some provisional ballots that must be verified and counted, but, other than the Green Camp issue, there are not enough to tip the balance in any of the results.

The final results will be certified by the Marion County Board of Elections in the coming weeks.
