Thomas Marvin Lines, Jr., age 46, of Marion, gave up his earthly body and soul and moved on to a better place following his death at his home with his loving family by his side on Sunday, April 4, 2010.
Born on January 22, 1964, in Marion, to Thomas Marvin Sr., and Vera A. (Clark) Lines. Both are surviving.
Thomas had worked at Elite Marble in Marion, Heritage Marble in Columbus, and Union Tank Car in Marion.
He enjoyed classic car shows and took pride in his own 1965 El Camino and loved to “ride like the wind.” A man with a mission, he loved to look for a real deal and he did this while shopping at the flea market. Fishing brought joy to Thomas’s life and while being a perfectionist at heart he puttered around in his garage working on cars for himself and others.
Thomas leaves behind the love of his life: Helen (Burggraf) Lines who he married on September 24, 1982; a son: Thomas Marvin Lines III; a daughter Kaylee Joy Lines at home; three grandsons: Damian William, Thomas Marvin IV, and James Micheal Randy Ray Lines; a sister: Mary Evelyn (Lines) Franklin; a brother: Christopher William Lines; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be sadly missed by all.
Thomas’s family will greet friends from 11-1 p.m, on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Services celebrating his life will follow with Pastor Keith Irey officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Caledonia Cemetery.
