Betty June Jerew, age 86, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Monday May 31, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born June 10, 1923 in Marion, Ohio to the late Vance and Edith (DeWeese) Carpenter.
On May 16, 1943 in Marion, Ohio she married Donald F. Jerew who survives.
Betty was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, The Hicks and Chicks of Marion, Ohio, The Satellite Round Western Dance Club of Columbus, Ohio, and The Green Thumb Garden Club. Betty was also an Alumni member of Lambda Chi Omega.
In 1983, after 28 years, Betty retired as a Contract Specialist with The Defense Construction Supply Center first in Marion, Ohio then in Columbus, Ohio where the company moved to.
Besides her loving husband, Betty is survived by nieces and nephews and very special friends, John and Ramona Douglas of Westerville, Ohio.
Funeral Services for Betty will be Friday June 4, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Marion, Ohio. Pastor Mark Schuring will be officiating. Burial will follow in The Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at The Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday June 3, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
