Chad Alan Hart, age 35, of Prospect, died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, June 2, 2010.
On August 25, 1974, Chad was born in Marion, Ohio, the son of Richard W. and Diana K. (Fortner) Hart of Marion. He was a graduate of Marion Harding High School in the class of 1993.
Following high school, Chad started working as a roofer with his brother, Daniel, which they did for more than 15 summers throughout the Marion area. When he wasn’t roofing with his brother, he would be hard at work with one of his best friends, Brent Gobal, until recently when he landed a job at Temple-Inland in Marion. Not only was Brent a best friend to Chad, the Gobal family was his 2nd family. They watched him over the years develop from a small free-spirited boy mature into an outgoing young man.
With a love for the outdoors, Chad enjoyed taking long walks at night with his wife, camping, fishing, hunting deer, and cooking out with his family.
Loyal to his friends, they will always remember him as their “Dude”. They always looked forward to watching UFC fights together, and they enjoyed arguing over who would get the next turn at playing XBOX, especially when it was his favorite game, Madden Football.
An avid sports fan, Chad dedicated every Sunday to adamantly rooting on his beloved Cleveland Browns.
Though he loved his friends, sports and the outdoors, he was most passionate in life about his family. Shortly after meeting Tiffany Shrader while working at Marion Industries, they were married on October 27, 2008, in Mount Gilead. Together they lovingly cared for his daughter, Autumn Hart; and her three children: Alexis, Nia, and Kolton, all of Prospect.
Including his parents, wife, and children, Chad will be dearly missed by his two brothers: Daniel (Christi) Hart and David Hart, both of Marion; his mother-in-law, Deeanna Shrader, and sister-in-law, Stephanie Shrader, both of Cardington; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Chad was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bruce Shrader; and grandfather, Tedo Fortner.
His family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Services celebrating Chad’s life will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Andy Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chad Alan Hart Memorial Fund, and they may be sent in care of the funeral home.
