Esta H. French, 82 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Wednesday June 16, 2010 at his residence.
He was born December 26, 1927 in Lawrence Co., Ohio to the late Jonas and Maude R. (Caldwell) French.
On July 2, 1948 in Catlettsburgh, Ky. he married Della Mae (Childers).
Esta was a member of The Tyler St. Mission.
He retired after over 30 years as a truck driver with Picklesimer Trucking.
Besides his wife Della who survives, Esta is also survived by a son, Russell H. French of Idaho, five daughters, all of Marion, Ohio, Doris (Joe) Williams, Brenda (Cairl) Welch, Wilma (Bob) Johnson, Wanda Ray and Ruby Shope. Seventeen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive. Also a sister, Elsie Tuttle of Marion survives.
One brother and one sister also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Monday June 21, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at The Boyd-Born Funeral Home with the Rev. Burt Runyon officiating. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday June 20, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
