Peggy S. Wise, age 49, of Marion, died unexpectedly on Friday morning, July 16, 2010, at her residence following complications from a recent surgery.
On August 3, 1960, Peggy was born in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of Glenna (Perkins) Albright and the late Harold Albright.
Soon after getting out of diapers, Peggy was introduced to another child, Lonnie Wise, at an Eagles function and the two square danced. They would share a deep connection for the rest of their lives and were married on June 15, 1979. Together they enjoyed attending functions at the Marion Eagles, American Legion Post 584, and with the Marion Area Harley Riders Association.
An avid NASCAR fan, Peggy enjoyed rooting for her favorite drivers, Dale Ernhardt #3 and now Dale Ernhardt Jr. #88. She also was a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Peggy loved the company of her two jack russell terriers, “D.J.” (who was named after Dale Jr.) and “Kasey”.
With a love for bingo, Peggy looked forward to going to the Marion Eagles to play with her friends.
She had formerly been a member of the Fite Memorial Baptist Church, and had recently attended the Lifelink Community Church.
Having a heart of gold, Peggy truly loved and cared for her family, always putting them first.
Peggy will be dearly missed by her husband, Lonnie Wise Sr. of Marion; three children: Michael Wise of Marion, and his daughter, Samantha Wise; Kellie (Robert) Adkins of Marion, and their two children: Searria and Kolton Adkins; and Lonnie (fiancé Brooke) Wise Jr. of Marion; her mother, Glenna Albright of Marion; two brothers: Wayne (Marie) Albright of Bucyrus, and Robert (Julie) Albright of Marion; two sisters: Brenda (Richard) Spicer of Marion, and Tina (Brian) King of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Services celebrating her life will be held there on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Keith Bond officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Rather than flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
