Vivian R. Forrider, 83, Marion, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at her residence.
Vivian was born on October 1, 1926 to the late Charles and Irene (Smith) Vaughn in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Vivian worked for Quaker Oats/Natures Plant Food P.I.C. Industries, working into her early 70's. She was a member of the Eagles, Moose, American Legion 584 and 162, as well as the Marion Senior Center. Vivian was of Christian Faith.
Vivian was married on October 20, 1943 to Lowell E. Forrider who preceded her in death in 1973.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Jones of Delaware and Diana Forrider of Marion; 5 grandchildren with one deceased; 7 great grandchildren with one deceased; and 1 great great grandchild. Preceding her in death were her brothers, William and James Vaughn; sisters, Dorothy Crawford, Ruby Burling and Minnie Belle Harrison.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Marion Cemetery with Rev. Keith Irey officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Quality of Life Hospice at Marion General Hospital.
