Zack L. Martin, age 67, of Marion died unexpectedly Friday, July 9, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born on September 21, 1942 in Marion, Ohio the son of the late John L. and Hattie E. (Noblet) Martin.
Zack was a lifelong area resident where he attended Taft High School. He was employed by Tecumseh for 17 years before working for Marion Pallet. He was presently employed with Denny’s as a part of their kitchen staff.
He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed rabbit hunting and fishing at the Delaware Reservoir.
Zack had a very outgoing personality and would make conversation and become friends with total strangers. He will be remembered as a man who valued his family and the time spent with them.
He will be missed by his brothers and sisters, Marlene Plotner of Marion, Virginia Ashbrook of Ashley, John L. Martin Jr. of Marion, Ruth Taylor and her husband Donald of Upper Sandusky, and Howard Martin and his wife Rebecca of Marion; his sister-in-law Veronica Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert E., Virgil, Larry, Richard, and Melvin; and his brothers-in-law Lowell Plotner and Delbert Ashbrook.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday July 16, 2010 at 2:30 PM at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion. Friends may call from 1:30 PM until the time of the service. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
