Betty Jane Ratcliff, age 90, is now in God’s care, as she went home to be with Him on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Marion Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on May 28, 1920 to Harold and Bessie Davis. She retired from the Quaker Oats Company after 40 years of service. Betty was loved by so many as she was a hard worker who also liked fun and enjoyed life. She treasured music and dancing. She had a gift to spread love and joy to those around her. She will be greatly missed.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, Robert Davis, and Lloyd Davis; two sisters, Maxine Davis, and Zelma Haas; and three husbands, Harley Jones, John j. Krautter, and Clyde Ratcliff.
Surviving Betty are four children, Fred Jones of Delaware, Ohio, Diane Jones Hasson of Prospect, Ohio, Vicki Krautter Markey of Allen Park, Michigan, and Anita Ratcliff Ogle of Prospect, Ohio; 11 grand children; 21 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Davis of Sarasota, Florida, and Larry Davis of Downing Town, Pennsylvania; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There will be a memorial service held Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 2 PM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Reverend Charles Bowling will officiate the service. Friends and loved one may visit with the family from 1-2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Betty may be made to Heartland Hospice of Marion.
