Dolores Dorothy O'Brien, 96, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at her residence.
Dolores was born on June 2, 1914 in Marion to the late Grover C. and Burnice M. (Greeno) Keil.
Dolores graduated from Scottsdale High School on Pennsylvania in 1932. She later married Paul A. O'Brien on July 25, 1935 who preceded her in death on March 4, 1983.
She was a member of St. Mary Church as well as the Erie-Lackawanna Veterans Association. Dolores worked for over 10 years in the lunch room at Harding High School.
Dolores is survived by her son, Michael P. (Janet) O'Brien of Marion; sisters, Dollie Tillman of Florida and Gloria Hull of Marion; half-brothers, Don Keil of Cardington and Wilford (Portia) Keil of Mt. Gilead; grandchildren, Debra (Joe) Painter of Louisiana and their sons: Daniel and David Thacker, Dean (Deb) O'Brien of Chillicothe and their children: Joey, Dustin, Courtney and Dakota O'Brien, Denise Burkhard of Marion and her son: Devin Jamison; Step-grandchildren, Tani (Joe) Lowery of Arlington, Ohio and her children: Brad and Amanda Boothe and Gavin and Caitlin Lowery, Casandra Christman of Findlay and her son, Jordan Christman, Jarrod (Angie) Jenkins of Morral, Ohio and their children, Kyle, Cole, And Jessica Jenkins; 5 great great grandchildren and 2 step great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding Dolores in death was an infant brother, Donald and a half brother Jack Keil.
Friends may call on the family from 4 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010 in the Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010 in St. Mary Church with Fr. James Black Celebrant. The burial will follow the mass in St. Mary's Cemetery.
