Karen Lee Thompson, 51 of Marion went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 29th, 2010 at 8:05 A.M. after an extended stay at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born September 7, 1958 and was a life-long resident of Marion. She was the daughter of the late Billy Leo Price Sr. and Hazel Maxine Price.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Thompson; 5 children Matthew (Beverly) Price, Melissa (Jamie) Tussey, Kelly (Jeremiah Wallace) Thompson, David (Emily) Thompson, and Christopher (Melissa) Thompson. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Alex Thompson, Kristen Tussey, Austin Tussey, Noah Thompson, Christopher Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Logan Price, Nicholas Price, Graclin Thompson,and Ryan Wallace. She is survived by 1 sister, Tina Price; and 2 brothers, Charles Price and Bret Price.
She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Edith Lewis; and 3 brothers Danny Grine, Robert Grine, and William Price.
Karen was an employee at Marion Pointe Nursing Home. Karen loved most of all being with her grandchildren and family along with attending church with her cousin Carol Kinney, sewing and crafting, and decorating for every holiday.
Services will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Pentecostal Believers in Christ Church, 347 N Main Street. Calling hours will be held from 11-1. A funeral service will begin at 1 PM with Pastor Clifford Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery in Brush Ridge.
