Louise C. Smith, age 85, of Marion passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at her Kingston Residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 20th 1925 in Marion, the daughter of the late Albert and Hilda (Rengert) Yeager.
Louise was a graduate of Pleasant High School in the class of 1943.
Shortly after graduation she married her best friend and the love of her life, Paul L. Smith on February 11, 1944 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Marion. Together they raised their two boys, Gary and his wife Marsha of Prospect and Steve and his wife Paula of Marion.
She was employed at the Pleasant Schools and enjoyed owning and operating the Prospect Dairy Bar with her husband for 12 years. Upon retirement they traveled together all over the U.S. She also found time to quilt.
She and Paul were both faithful members of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 50 years.
In addition to her husband and sons she will be missed by her 5 grandchildren Jay (Jackie) Smith, Jennifer (Jason) Reinhart, Stephnie (Brock) Shuler, Yolonda (Mike) Ulery and Heather (Shane) Pertuset; 12 great grandchildren; and her sister Helen (Donald) Schrote of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her sister Ruth (Harry) Lichtenberger.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 7, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 4535 Smeltzer Road, Marion, Ohio 43302 at 3:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Waldo Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
