Ralph E. Kunze, 95, died September 6, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Preceded in death by loving wife of 71 years June Follin Kunze.
Survived by son Wesley (Sue) Kunze, Delaware, OH, daughter Beth (Don) Herring, Lowell, AR, and son Gary (Carol) Kunze, Kettering, OH; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Geneva Brown, Doris Hoffman, and Isabel Noble.
He was preceded in death by parents George and Flossie (Fidler) Kunze; brother Paul Kunze; and sisters Evadene and Marian Kunze and Eltheda Barrick.
Ralph attended Muskingum College and was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Education and a M.S. in Agronomy.
He was a teacher of vocational agriculture at Apple Creek, Ohio for three years, a soil surveyor for the U.S.D.A. Soil Conservation Service for four years, manager of the Ohio Seed Improvement Assoc. for five years, and retired in 1980 as manager of seed supply for Farm Bureau Cooperative Assoc. (Landmark).
He is a charter member of the Civitan Club of North Columbus, and a long time member of North Broadway Methodist Church.
Funeral will be at Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 North Main Street, Mt. Gilead on September 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Committal service will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
