Richard D. Schnittker age 65 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born January 25, 1945 in Mobile, AL. to Elmer and Betty (Pelk) Schnittker.
On February 25, 1967 he married Nina M. (Stapleton) Schnittker.
Richard was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1962-1965, he was employed at Whirlpool Corp. for 16 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge in Marion, OH. and the Eagles in Wapakoneta, OH., he enjoyed camping at Glacier Hill Lake Campground and loved watching NASCAR.
He is survived by his father, Elmer Schnittker of Marion, OH., wife, Nina Schnittker of Marion, two daughters, Vickie (Jeff) Louck of Marion, Sabrina Kay (Alan) Smith of Cape Corral, FL., four grandchildren, Kaylan Crawford, Taylor Louck, Aaron Louck Austin Louck, two sisters, Carol (Jerry) Hartsorn of Colorado Springs, CO., Sherry Schnittker ( Fiance, Randy Roshon) of Marion, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 4 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Willis Moe officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 2 – 4 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
