Shelby R. Smith, 71, of Marengo

Shelby R. Smith, age 71 of Marengo died unexpectedly Monday, September 20, 2010 at St. Ann’s Hospital following an automobile accident near Sunbury.

A retired finish carpenter by trade, he was a self employed master craftsman, specializing in custom stairways, furniture, and interior trim work. He took great pride in his work and was even prouder when it was recognized by others. His work motto was always “quality not quantity”.
