Charles M. Saunders, 64, of Marion, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at his residence.
Charles was born January 31, 1946 in Marion to the late James and Catherine (Stull) Saunders. He married Mary Belle Jones on May 1, 1970 in Marion.
Charlie was a truck driver for MARCA Industries, and attended Cornerstone Alliance Church. He was active in a small Bible group at Cornerstone and worshiped with his many new friends as health permitted! He loved to fish and was very fond of his two dogs, Bubby and Skippy. Charlie will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Charles is survived by his wife, Marry Belle Saunders of Marion; brothers, Fred of Missouri, and James of Colorado; sister, Carol Ann; his favorite niece, Christine; and life-long friends, Tim and Linda Disbennet.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis.
On Monday, October 18, 2010 at 1 PM there will be a funeral service held at Cornerstone Alliance Church with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery. Friends and loved ones may visit with the family on Monday at the church from 11 AM until time of service. Arrangements are in care of Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
Contributions in memory of Charles may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
