H. Virginia "Ginny" VanSickle, 90, Marion, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on July 18, 1920 in Marion to the late Charles and Mary (Darnell) Marshall.
Ginny was married on November 26, 1946 to the late Walter Van Sickle who preceded her in death on November 23, 1987. She was a member of Fairpark Baptist Church, she loved to cook, bake, go bowling and dancing at the Eagles.
She is survived by her daughter's, Beverly (Robert) Moody, Carol (Wilford) Rhinehart, and Mary Jo (William) Scott; stepdaughter's, Jane (Donald) Thurston and Wanda Parker; 3 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death were 14 siblings.
Family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. David Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
