Iva M. Smelser age 76 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at her residence.
She was born May 2 , 1934 in Kenton, Ohio to the late George C. and Ethel (Kindell) Bridenstine.
On November 8, 1950 she married James R. Smelser, he preceded her in death on October 16, 1999.
Iva is survived by four daughters, Linda Smelser of Marion, Debbie Smelser of Marion, Marilyn (Ron) Pelfrey of Larue, Carol Duffey of Marion, a son, David Smelser of Marion, five grandchildren,Michelle (Joe), Jimmy, Angela, Amber and Alivia, eleven great grandchildren, Ambrosia, Ivey, Cloie, Keisha, Tyler, Julie, Christian, Nathan, Kelsey, Emma and Brayden, two sisters, Elda of Kenton, Stella of Marion, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Smelser, a son, Donald Smelser, three brother and one sister.
Visitation for Iva will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 from 2 to 5 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home, 122 W. Columbia St. Marion, Ohio.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family in care of the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
