Jesse Wayne Stover, of Green Camp

Jesse Wayne Stover, beloved son, brother, and friend, departed this world to be with his Savior, Jesus, on October 19, 2010.

He was introduced November 5, 1960 by a verse given to his mother before his birth, John 16:21: A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembers no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world.

He has fulfilled this joy in his life here on earth.

Employed by the Elgin School System 21 years, Jesse worked diligently to keep the school buses maintained for the safety of the children. Jesse practiced perfection in everything he did and excelled in every sport he attempted: softball, fishing, basketball, and many more.

Jesse is survived by his loving mom and dad, Alvin and Dixie Stover; brother, John; and sisters, Rhonda Stover Grinnell, and Pamela Stover Staats. He has many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Calling hours will be held at Green Camp Baptist Church on Thursday, October 21, 4-8 PM. Services directed by Pastor David Lippert will be Friday, October 22, 10 AM. Burial will take place in Green Camp Cemetery. The Celebration of Life will continue at the Green Camp Community Center after the service.

Pallbearers will be Gary Hawkins, Kel Bollinger, Skip Hoffman, Dan Stover, Mike Flach, and Robert Sullivan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Green Camp Baptist Church in Jesse’s name.
