Edwin L. Pierce age 74 of New Bloomington, Ohio passed away Sunday, Novemeber 21, 2010 at his residence.
He was born January 19, 1936 in Marion, Ohio to the late Carl W. and Margaret P. (Neimeyer) Pierce.
On April 15, 1954 he married Shirley A. (Barton) Pierce, she survives in New Bloomington, Ohio.
Edwin was employed at the Marion City Fire Department from 1960 to 1986, he retired after 26 years as Lieutenant. He truly enjoyed his retirement, hunting and fishing especially for the last 23 years at Shady Shores at Lake Erie and 16 years at Lake Griffin in Leesburg, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Pierce of New Bloominton, OH., his daughter, Shelly Lucas (fiance – Frank Baldwin) of Columbus, OH., his son, Michael Pierce of Marion, OH., two grandchildren, Ian Pierce and Aaron Pierce, his brother, Ray Pierce of Marion, OH.
Visitation for Edwin will be held Friday, Novemeber 26, 2010 from 5 to 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home 122 W. Columbia St. Marion, Ohio, with the funeral service to follow at 8 PM with Chaplain Kenneth Durtsche officiating.
