Herbert L. Hunt Sr., 74, of Marion

Herbert L. Hunt Sr. age 74 of Marion, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at his residence.

Born May 24, 1936 in Marion and raised in Green Camp to the late Elmer William and Norma James Hunt Sr.

Herbert retired from Erie Railroad, then worked at Northern Telecom Communications. He formerly owned the Town Caboose Bar in Marion and the Sportsman Bar in Prospect, Ohio, He also did construction work and was previously a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.

On July 9, 1957 Herbert married Annetta (Robinson) Hunt, she passed away May 23, 2009.

Survivors include two sons Douglas Hunt and Rocky Paul Hunt both of Marion, one daughter Katherine Ellington, one brother Dick Hunt (Marie Russell), one sister Donna Black, four grandchildren David Parks, Daniel Parks, Dillen Hunt, Nikki (Rex) Davidson, two great grandchildren Elijah and Lillian Davidson, and nieces and nephews galore.

Preceding Herbert in death are his parents, Elmer William Hunt Sr, Norma Dardinger, wife Ann, one son, Herbert L. Hunt Jr., two brothers Elmer Hunt Jr, and Larry Dean Hunt.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM Friday, November 12, 2010 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 13, 2010 in Green Camp Cemetery with Brother Greg Masteller Officiating.
