Bobby L. Thacker age 77 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Sunday December 12, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born June 5, 1933 in Vinton, Co., Ohio to the late Jolly Mollihan and Viola Thacker. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, James Thacker.
On June 24, 1967 in Marion, Ohio, he married Linda L. (Fausnaugh), who survives.
Bobby was a retired security guard with Pinkerton Security through the former Natures Company. He was a member of the Marion Wesleyan Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Bobby is survived by two sons and three daughters; Tim Swartz (Fiance', Roni Faunce), Charles (Melody) Swartz, Teresa Holsinger, Tammy (Charles) Redmon, and Bobbie Jo (George) Allen all of Marion, Ohio. Twenty-one grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive. Bobby is also survived by two brothers and one sister; Steve (Joyce) Thacker, James Thacker, and Connie Johns all of Marion, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a grandchild, a daughter, Robin Thacker, and two sisters, Wilma Champer and Shelby McMurray, and a son-in-law Harold Holsinger.
Funeral Services will be Thursday December 16, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Marion Wesleyan Methodist Church. Officiating the service will be the Rev. David Blowers. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery with military rites by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call at the church two hours prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
