Delores “Dody” Y. Russell, 81, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at her residence.
She was born September 6, 1929 in Marion to the late Burl and Mable (Oiler) White. She was married to Francis Lee Russell January 29, 1950 in Marion.
Dody retired from Quaker Oats. She loved her family, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Dody is survived by her husband, Francis of Marion; two sons, Daniel (Linda) Russell of Marion, and Kevin (Deb) Russell of Marysville; four grandchildren, Beth, Brian, Lori, and Kaleb Russell; one great grandchild, Kameron James Russell; three stepchildren, Jenny Cunningham, Danielle Scott, and Lincoln Counts; and five step great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers; and two sisters.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 12, 2010 from 2-4 PM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 13 at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
