Helen Lucille Pierce, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.
Helen was born in Marion County August 15, 1924 and had been a lifetime resident of Marion. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Hazel (Shaw) Miley.
She was married to Henry Pierce November 15, 1958 in Marion. Henry passed away October 25, 2000.
Helen was a 1942 Waldo High School graduate. She helped her parents on the family farm and retired as an assembler with Tecumseh. She was a member of Calvary Bible Baptist Church. Helen also enjoyed collectables and crocheting.
Helen is survived by a brother, Clifford Miley of Cardington; five sisters, Goldie Cline of Marion, Pauline Conant, Mildred Wallace, and Esther Tolle all of Cardington, and Betty Lou Miley of Edison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 2-6 PM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 20 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Windfall Cemetery. Pastor Floyd Radebaugh will officiate the service.
