Milton R. Fox age 89 was born August 20, 1921 in his rural Prospect home to the late John Harvey Fox and Ida E. (Schuster) Fox. He passed away early December 16, 2010 with his family by his side to his heavenly home.
He farmed and worked at Eaton Manufacturing Co. in Marion for many years. He was a member of Shiloh Community Church and held many offices for many years but was the treasurer at the church for over twenty years. Milton started teaching Sunday School when he was sixteen years old, he was an active participant of Burning Bush Holiness Camp where he served as their treasurer for many years until his health caused him to resign.
He married Iris Irene (Keeton) Fox on March 23, 1951. They were married three months shy of sixty years together. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed playing dominoes every night at home.
Along with his wife Iris, he is survived by one daughter, Joan (Charles) Luman of Prospect, two grandchildren, Charles R. (Kara) Luman of Va., Carrie Luman of Marion, one great grandson, Charles H. Luman of Va., one brother in law, Howard "Wes" (Nancy) Keeton of Gladstone, MI., one sister in law, Lois Darnell of Marion, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Milton was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Schuster and Fredrick Fox.
The funeral service for Milton will be held Monday, December 20, 2010 1:30 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Wasserbeck officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 2-6 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the Marion General Hospital Hospice or American Cancer Society or American Heart Association in care of the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
