Donald C. Schwaderer age 93 of Marysville, Ohio and formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away Tuesday February 15, 2011 at the Memorial Hospital of Union County Marysville, Ohio.
He was born February 26, 1917 in Green Camp, Ohio to the late David T. and Florence I. (Temple) Schwaderer.
On July 31, 1937 in Covington, Ky. Donald married Doris Jane (Powelson). She preceded him in death on June 20, 2009.
Don was a machinist for forty three years with the former Marion Power Shovel Company, retiring in June of 1979. Don was also a member of the Claridon United Methodist Church, and was a fifty year member of the American Legion Post #584 in Marion. He also served our country as a U.S. Army Veteran during W.W. II.
Don is survived by two sons; Donald E. (Bonnie) Schwaderer of Powell, Ohio, and William L. (Joan) Schwaderer of Marysville, Ohio; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Other survivers include a sister; Norma Mapes of Arlington, Tx., and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by two brothers; Edwin and lowell Schwaderer, and a sister, Marie Weaver.
Funeral Services will be Friday February 18, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the Claridon United Methodist Church. Officiating the service will be the Rev. John Grimm. Burial will follow in the Green Camp Cemetery with Military Rites by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday February 17, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
