George A. Chance age 85 of Marion, Ohio passed away at his residence Wednesday, February 16, 2011.
Born in Connersville, Indiana March 17, 1925 to the late Ray and Cecelia (Wagner) Chance.
George retired as a meat inspector for the USDA.
George married Anna (Daumer) Chance and she preceded him in death on November 28, 2006.
Survivors include two sons Kenneth R (Renee) Chance of Potomac, Maryland, Douglas George Chance of Caledonia, Ohio, three daughters Laura (Ned) Smith of Marion, Ohio, Theresa (Ben) Gleason of Bridport, Vermont, Ramona Chance of Grove City, Ohio, six grandchildren Benjamin, Daniel and Timothy Smith, Walker and McCoy Chance, Merritt Gleason, one brother Joseph (Rosie) Chance of Rushville, Indiana.
Family will recieve friends from 9:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. Monday February 21, 2011 at St Mary Church 251 North Main Street Marion, Ohio. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday following the visitation with Father Michael Nimocks officiating. Burial will be in Mt Olive Cemetery in Jackson, Ohio at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011.
