James H. Waddle, age 81, of Marion died Monday, February 14, 2011, at 6:50 AM in the care of Community Health Care Center.
"Jimmie" was born January 31, 1930, in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Edward L. and Mary Elleen (Graber) Waddle.
He was married to Barbara (Nevill) December 24, 1983, who survives. Also surviving are 4 daughters, Linda A. (Bob) Carpenter of Caledonia, Mary H. (Tim) McKnight of Morral, M. Kathleen Wiley-Turner of Marion Ravena Sipes of Florida; 4 sons, Jay Henry Waddle of California, Mark A. Waddle of Marion, Ralph L. Waddle of Marion, Wesley E. Waddle of Arizona; step-children, Charles (Barb) Beck of Alexandria, Erin (Micki) Caskey of Cardington, Marcia (John) Massie of Johnsville, 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A brother, John E. Waddle, step-daughter, Karen Hornbeck and 2 grandchildren are deceased.
"Jimmie" worked most of his life as a self employed tree trimmer, operator of "Jimmies Tree Service". He was of the Baptist faith, a member of the Masonic Lodge, Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and Moose and Eagle Lodges. He was considered an expert at tree and shrub care and enjoyed nature and all it had to offer.
Friends may call Wednesday, February, 16, 2011, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with funeral services being held at 5:00 PM with Rev. Floyd F. Radebaugh officiating and followed by a Masonic Service. Private burial will be at a later date.
