Shad Michael Campbell, age 30, died unexpectedly Friday, February 11, 2011.
On December, 19, 1980, Shad was born at the Morrow County Hospital in Mt. Gilead, the son of Bruce Campbell of Mt. Gilead and Charlotte (James) Lehner of Iberia.
Shad attended High School in Crestline, Colonel Crawford and graduated from Galion High School in the class of 1999. He attended college at Ohio State Barber College and worked for Mike’s on the Pike.
Shad was known for his love and knowledge of sports. He devotedly followed the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Yankees, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved life in general, his family and friends. He adored Rocky, Buddy and Willow the dogs, as well as nature and animals of all kinds. Shad was always quick to laugh and his quick witted comedic antics brought entertainment and laughter to everyone around him.
Shad will be dearly missed by his parents Bruce Campbell and Charlotte Lehner; his siblings: Shane (Cynthia Seitz) Campbell of Iberia, Shelley Campbell of Columbus, Shauna (John) White of Marion, Sheldon (Allison) Campbell of Lexington and Shannon Campbell of Columbus; nieces and nephews: Corbin, Brandon, Lorin, Caela, Brittney, Bailey, Braedey, Calvin, Camryon, Celeste, Aalyiah, Adasia and Azair. He is also survived by his son, Shad Miguel Campbell, Jr.
Shad was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Nelson E. and Alice (Stanton) Campbell; maternal grandparents Charles T. and Leona G. (James) James; and his step-father, James Lehner.
Friends may call on the family on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 12Noon to 2PM at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 South Main St., Mt. Gilead, Ohio 43338. Graveside services will follow at Iberia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be sent to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
