Brenda Sue Layne, 56, of Marion

Brenda Sue Layne passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:45 PM at Partners of Marion. She was 56 years old; born October 6, 1954 in Marion to the late Simeon Ray and Corabell (Hodge) Layne.

Brenda was a member of Shield of Faith Church in Marion. She was a dedicated homemaker, and she loved her family very much.

Brenda is survived by her son Darell (Anna) Coleman of Marion; daughters Destanee (Wayne) Vandyke, and Angel Logan of Marion; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild; six brothers; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shield of Faith Church. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends and loved ones may visit with the family Sunday, May 1 from 5-7 PM at the church.
