Shane Peters, age 40, of Mount Gilead, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
On February 16, 1971, Shane was born in Mount Gilead to Terry Lynn (Styer) Roush and David Michael Peters.
Shane was a graduate of the Mount Gilead High School in the class of 1989. Shane operated his own business as a carpenter and a very skilled mason. On September 15, 1991, Shane was united in marriage to Natasha Fawn Brown in Cardington, Ohio.
Shane will be fondly remembered by his family for his outstanding culinary skills, in which his pizza’s were everyone’s favorite. Other hobbies that Shane enjoyed were gardening and whistling, he could be heard whistling from a block away. Every year he could hardly wait to get into his garden to start planting, especially taking pride in his tomato plants.
Those who remain to treasure Shane’s memory are his parents: Terry Lynn (Styer) and Billy Joseph Roush and David Michael Peters; his wife Natasha Fawn (Brown) Peters; his children: Ashley, Joshua and Kristen Peters; his siblings: Mike and Bobbie Peters, Christy and Chris Steinhelfer, Jason and Sheena Weber and Terra Strahm; his mother and father-in-law Sonny and Marilyn Brown; Maternal grandparents Pauline and the late Charles Styer; Paternal grandparents Evelyn and the late Lowell Peters; Aunts and Uncles: Mary and Charles Owen and David and Carol Styer; his friend and co-worker Lee McLearran.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 S. Main Street, Mount Gilead, from 2PM to 4PM. Graveside services will be held Monday at Bryn Zion Cemetery, 5520 County Road 240, Mount Gilead, at 11AM. Sonny Brown will be officiating.
