Estella F. Schwaderer Dutt, 99, of Marion

Estella F. Schwaderer Dutt, age 99, of Marion, died Sunday evening, September 18, 2011, at the Marion General Hospital following a brief illness.

On January 23, 1912, Estella was born in Marion, Ohio, the youngest of four daughters of the late Edward and Maude (Guthrie) Mathews.  She graduated from Pleasant High School in the Class of 1931.

Shortly after graduation, Estella married her high school sweetheart, Dale L. Schwaderer, in 1932.  Together they lovingly raised three children and shared over 46 years of marriage.  For many years they also enjoyed wintering in Florida.  He preceded her in death on December 7, 1978.

A loving homemaker, Estella put the needs of her family before her own.  Also, for only a few years she had worked at the Marion General Hospital.

A woman of deep faith, Estella was a member of the Cornerstone Alliance Church, which was formerly the Christian Missionary Alliance Church to her.

Getting a second chance at love, Estella married Weldon W. Dutt, in November of 1995, and they shared over 9 years together.  He preceded her in death on March 5, 2004.

Estella truly lived for her family, cherishing every moment they ever shared.  She was honored just two weeks ago to share their company, as they celebrated her 100th birthday early.

She will be dearly missed by her three children: Frederick (Myrtle) Schwaderer of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Richard (Velma) Schwaderer of Troy, Ohio, and Judith (Harold) Rowland of Marion; eight grandchildren: Don (Sharon) Schwaderer, Nancy (Tim) Willbanks, Pam (Mick) Bosworth, David (Kusum) Schwaderer, Joseph (Lauren) Schwaderer, Vince (Kathy) Jacobs, Deanna (Brian) Puskas, and Dawn Rowland; 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Including her husbands and parents, Estella was preceded in death by her three older sisters: Helen Smart, Garland Taylor, and Gertrude Alexander.

Estella’s family will greet friends from 1 – 2 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011, at the Cornerstone Alliance Church, 2010 Marion-Marysville Rd., Marion.  Services celebrating her 99 years of life will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Tim Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cornerstone Alliance Church.
