Joyce E. Grady, age 77 of Delaware passed away unexpectedly at home Monday, September 19, 2011.
Born on February 14, 1934 in Columbus she was the daughter of the late Stephan and Barbara (Norris) Fleischer.
A graduate of South High School in 1951, she moved from Worthington to Delaware in 1999. Her career was spent working in the payroll dept. of Wendy’s International.
Faithful and loving, she was an active member of Northgate Community Church. She collected paper weights and small vases. A fan of old movies, she adored her cat Annie. At times opinionated, she was not only strong, but strong willed.
Her favorite place was with her beloved husband of 48 years Clyde. She treasured accompanying him on long countryside drives. Clyde passed away in 2001.
She will be remembered for her love of God and family.
Those left to cherish her memory include children: Linda (Terry) Bright of Delaware, Zane Grady of Mt. Vernon, Kathy (Tony) Koewler of Phoenix, AZ, Grandchildren: Kelly, Jenny (Matt) Carroll, Albert, Great-grandson Lucas Carroll, Brother: David (Sue) Fleischer and niece Julie of New Albany.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home , SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday with her Pastor Bill Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to her church or Gideon’s International.
