Bonnie Jean Cottrill, age 61, of Marion, went to be with the Lord at 9:35 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Partners of Marion Nursing Home with her family by her side.
She was born October 17, 1950 in Marion, Ohio. She was one of four children.
She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Virginia Cottrill, her maternal grandparents Edward and Cora Dempsey and paternal grandparents Cleo and Velma Cottrill. She is survived by her Father Jack Leroy Cottrill of Marion, Sister Dixie Eileen Baldwin (Charles Philip) of Dublin Ohio, Brother Terry Lee Cottrill, and Brother Ronald Ray Cottrill (Carol) both of Marion; two nieces Tamara Nail and Shannon Ross (Marty) and three nephews Charles Baldwin Jr., Sean Baldwin (Sindey), and Michael Cottrill, also many great nieces and nephews. Bonnie also had a special friend John Messenger.
Bonnie was a student at Marca School and a long time employee at Marca Industries. She participated in Special Olympics and was a member of Home Missionary Holiness Church. Bonnie’s gift to us in her life was that of understanding. She showed us all that no matter your limitations you can succeed to have a full life. Bonnie was an earth angel and will now forever be a heavenly angel with her best friend and mother Mary Virginia Cottrill. We will miss her and she will be forever in our hearts.
Friends may call from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Friday November 18th at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be ministered by Pastor David Lippert, Saturday November 19th at 10:30 am at Gunder /Hall & Folk Funeral Directors 347 W Center St. Marion, Ohio. Burial service will immediately follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery, Morral, Ohio.
