John Harville Adamson age 67 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Friday November 18, 2011 at his residence.
He was born July 30, 1944 in Nashville, Tn. to the late Joe D. and Lorene (Stevenson) Adamson.
On July 28, 1967 he married Joyce A. Young and she survives.
John was retired from the Marion Juvenile Prison Facility. He loved to play poker, bowling, fishing and hunting. He also spent a lot of time with his family.
John is survived by his children; John Adamson (Allison Woodrum), James Adamson (Tina Burgess), Timothy and Leslie Adamson, Teresa and Robert Perkins, Jesse and Karen Adamson, and Charles and Michelle Adamson. He has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren surviving as well as two brothers; Charles Adamson and Billy Ray Sellers.
Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services for John will be Tuesday November 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Eddie Colegrove. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be to the family in care of the funeral home.
John is loved and will be truly missed by all who knew him. The family would also like to give special thanks to Marion General Hospital Hospice and especially Jennifer Keen.
