Joyce Marie Sanderson of Marion, OH passed away on Sunday November 27, 2011 at Community Health Care Center at the age of 87.
Joyce was born November 23, 1924 to the late John A. and Zula B. (Williams) McCullough in Marion.
She was a 1942 graduate of Harding High School.
On May 20, 1943, she married Everett M. Sanderson in Marion.
Joyce was a member of the Lecture Recital Singing Choir, Prospect Street United Methodist Church, and the Women's Inner City Bowling League where she was a bowler and the treasurer. She was a 40 year volunteer at Marion General Hospital, and an avid bridge player.
At one time, Joyce worked at Huber Warco and also at Cords & Cables in Iberia, OH. She retired from the Ridgedale Schools as a cook.
Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Jane Louise (Donald) Seaton of Caledonia, OH and Lynn Joyce Harvey of Marion, 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Myrtle Fetter of Marion.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jack.
The funeral service will be Thursday December 1, 2011 at 1:00pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Nancy Goulet. Burial will follow at the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call upon the family on Wednesday November 30, 2011 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
